The Prada Group takes over the majority of the Car Shoe SA company, owner of the Car Shoe brand in 2001, with the intention of preserving and reviving one of the most sophisticated and emblematic Italian brands. With this spirit, the 1963 logo is reintroduced and, during the years, image, style and the original quality of the driving shoe patented by its founder in the 1960’s are restored.
Italian brand Car Shoe, established in 1963, and Automobili Lamborghini, celebrated their 50th anniversary together in May 2013. A limited edition of Car Shoe's cult moccasin was released for the occasion. The shoes are adorned with the luxury sports car's metal logo on the lace along the side of the shoe, and the Lamborghini coat of arms on the heel and printed on the insole.
